About Coach Missy and Firecracker Softball:

Missy has played softball for over 25 years, both nationally and internationally for teams in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oxford and London at the high school and collegiate levels. Known for her “terminator” look on the mound, Missy was inducted into her league’s Hall of Fame in 2009 with several Slugger Awards under her belt. Highlight of her career was pitching multiple “no-hitter” games and hitting three home runs in one game over center field fence. She led her team to many championship games on the mound, winning four years in a row. Currently, she is the pitching instructor for a local high school team and middle school team in Philadelphia and runs several pitching clinics for the Philadelphia and Montgomery County areas. She was the Interim Head Varsity Upper School softball coach for the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. She started her own private softball instructor business called “Firecracker Softball” where she fosters positive self-esteem and individual growth through personal achievement in softball fundamentals and life skills such as sportsmanship, leadership, and positive coaching. Her unique coaching style and enthusiasm continuously channels positive feedback from parents and athletes.
